RAP ARTIST JA RULE GOES TO PRISON OVER LOADED GUN: Mayor Bloomberg?s Strict Anti Gun Laws in Question

Larry Pratt, Executive Director of Gun Owners of America, is THE Talk Show guest to have when it comes to providing the proper perspective on second amendment issues such as this one.

If you are not a close follower of gun rights issues or the rap music culture, this issue may have gotten past you unnoticed. It was recently reported by the Gun Owners Association that rap music artist, Ja Rule, is going to prison. His real name, by the way, is Jeffrey Atkins. So, what is the crime that has landed Mr. Rule is prison?

In 2007, Rule was pulled over by police in New York driving his Maybach sports car after a concert at Manhattan?s Beacon Theatre. The police found a loaded .40 caliber handgun in the back seat, which turned out not to be registered in accordance with New York state law.

According to the report on this incident by Gun Owners of America director, John Velleco, ?Mr. Ja Rule was not using the gun in the commission of a crime, mind you?the gun was the crime. And in Michael Bloomberg country, there is no greater offense.? Mr. Pratt is the go to person for up to date and accurate information on the rapidly eroding rights guaranteed by our Constitution when it comes to our second amendment rights to bear arms.

As reported, Rule took full responsibility and accepted a deal for a two year prison term as opposed to going to trial and facing a three-and-a-half year mandatory minimum sentence. ?Laws are laws,? he said on Good Day New York, a morning TV show. ?There?s nothing I could really do but own up to the situation.? As Vellceo commented, ?Mr. Rule has never tried to take away any of my constitutionally protected individual liberties. The same cannot be said of New York City?s lunatic mayor.? Larry Pratt and the Gun Owners of America are actively fighting for out gun ownership rights and maintain an active and constant vigilance on matters such s this. Many Americans could inadvertently find themselves in this type of prison term with no recourse.

Mike Bloomberg, mayor of New York who has banned so many other personal rights to its residents, has also lobbied the state legislature to pass the law making it a Class 3 felony (the same as robbery or burglary) to carry a loaded, unregistered handgun in the Empire State. With much activity in our nation?s courts focused on second amendment rights, this is an interview you will not want to miss.

And ponder this: If Mayor Bloomberg?s ?gun control? law succeeds in disarming every law abiding citizen, who will then be in control of the streets of New York?

SAMPLE INTERVIEW QUESTIONS FOR MR. PRATT MAY INCLUDE:

? How might this event affect a nurse working the midnight shift at an inner city hospital who carries a gun because she doesn?t want to be raped or carjacked?
? How about we send politicians like Bloomberg to prison the next time a person is unable to defend himself or herself because they were disarmed by anti-gun laws?
? Comment on laws against carrying firearms for self-defense being looked at hard in the light of the recent Heller and McDonald Supreme Court decisions reaffirming that the Second Amendment protects an individual right to have a firearm.
? Do New York?s anti-self defense laws, in particular, create their own category of victimless crimes, treat gun owners like criminals and make streets and neighborhoods fertile ground for violent thugs?
? How might our audience help you in your efforts to protect out rights to one and use firearms?
