MercyCare Community Physicians adds three

NEW HIRES

GreatAmerica Financial Services hired Vince Bower (see photo), previously with Trapeze ITS, as systems support analyst II.

MercyCare Community Physicians hired Kelly O?Reilly Alber (see photo), formerly with St. Luke?s Hospital, to the medical team at MercyCare Monticello; Victor Salas (see photo), who had been with Jones Regional Medical Center in Anamosa, to the team of medical providers at MercyCare Marion Urgent Care and MercyCare North Liberty Urgent Care; Anwar Ahmed (see photo), formerly with Quad Cities Nephrology Associates, to its medical team at Internist Associates of Iowa and Mercy Dialysis.

Maseeh Ahmed (see photo) is now with Corbin Group in Decorah as its video director.

Corridor Christian Counseling Center, North Liberty, hired Sara Smith (see photo) as a mental health therapist.

Advanced Technology Solutions Inc., in Fairfax, hired Amber Koppenhaver (see photo) as office manager for its corporate headquarters.

Hayley Supple (see photo) is a paid media specialist with Converge Consulting.

ISU Extension and Outreach Linn County named Diane Hagarty (see photo) as its new director.

UnityPoint Health-St. Luke?s Hospital promoted Denise Walker (see photo) from business and community relations manager for physical medicine and rehabilitation to director of PMR.

CERTIFICATIONS

Robin Jackson (see photo), a partner with Terry Lockridge & Dunn, earned the Enrolled Agent designation from the Internal Revenue Service. Jerad Suess (see photo), director of Taxpayer Advocacy Services and senior accountant, earned the Personal Financial Specialist designation from the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.

UnityPoint Health-St. Luke?s Hospital has been granted a three-year full accreditation designation by the National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers.

BOARD MEMBERS

Mary Airy, Cedar Rapids, was named president elect of the Iowa Association for the Education of Young Children?s governing board. Also, Alice Atkinson, Iowa City, and Connie Schulte, Cedar Rapids, were named regional board representatives.

Horizons, A Family Service Alliance, named Tom Petersen (see photo), ITC Midwest, as vice chairman of the agency?s board of directors. Janice Kerkove (see photo), Bradley & Riley PC, was named board chairwoman. KUDOS

The Iowa Association for the Education of Young Children presented the Children?s Champion Award to U.S. Sen. Tom Harkin (see photo) for his public policy work and the Friend of Young Children Award to Susan Gray (see photo) of Iowa City.

Kristin Mayo (see photo), Ruhl Mortgage, received a home improvement and community betterment grant for the North Liberty area totaling $2,500. The grant was awarded through the Under Construction Homeownership Contest, sponsored by the Iowa Finance Authority.

Doug Schleimer (see photo), Red Lobster in Cedar Rapids, received the company?s Top General Manager Award.

The Linn County chapter of UNA-USA honored women?s rights activist Alice Dahle with its 70th anniversary Legacy Award.

Debra Maier, Cedar Rapids Kernels, was named MWL Rawlings Woman Executive of the Year.

Sandi McIntosh (see photo), UnityPoint Health-St. Luke?s Hospital, received the Innovations in Patient Care Award from the Iowa Organization of Nurse Leaders.

The Iowa Bankers Association recognized MidWestOne Bank, Iowa City, with the 2013 Community Betterment Award.

Van Meter Inc., Cedar Rapids, and Ruhl & Ruhl Realtors, based in Davenport, with offices in the Corridor, have been named a 2013 Iowa Top Workplace by the Des Moines Register.

The Next Gen.
