Problem is that when the windows/doors were delivered everything was placed in the garage for storage. During the week while I was away we had a huge rain storm and as a result the garage flooded with about ankle deep water. All the windows and doors were in there on their sides in the delivery material. I have measure it to be about 3 or 4inches of water. Just to clarify I was shipped only the doors and the windows themselves - the frames were not going to be changed. My question is will this water have any impact on the windows? Should I not use these windows? I now have most of them inside my house where it is temperature controlled. All the windows do feel dry. I am concerned and not sure what to do.
They are supposed to be painted and installed this week.
Also 2nd question should these be painted once installed or paint before install? The problem I had when we first bought this house was a large number of the windows stuck and were impossible to open. The builder of the house wants to install them and then paint them and claims if we leave the AC on there will be no problem.
Any advice?
Thank you very much.
